Eliza Blacker

Physiotherapist

After developing an interest in sports as an adult and learning first hand about sport injuries and the importance of injury prevention, Eliza found a passion for the human body and its capabilities, culminating in her return to university as a mature age student to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra.

During her studies, her love of sports evolved into a passion for women’s health in sports, specifically relating to performance, function and injury prevention. In addition to sports related injuries and treatment, Eliza is interested in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, using a wide range of evidence based practices when treating patients.

Eliza is a qualified mat Pilates instructor and believes in the importance of functional fitness, promoting mobility and strength across all stages of life.

Outside of Physio, Eliza and her wife can be found powerlifting, long distance running and playing the occasional game of ice hockey.
