Growing up on the South Coast of NSW, Tyla has always had a passion in sport, exercise and the human body. Tyla discovered an interest in Physiotherapy during high school, and once graduated, made the move to Canberra to study at the University of Canberra.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Tyla went straight into private practice to consolidate her musculoskeletal skills, furthering her interest in sport, exercise and rehabilitation. Throughout her studies, Tyla found an interest in Women’s Health and the continuously changing female body during pregnancy, an area that she enjoys treating in private practice.
Tyla has mat Pilates qualifications and teaches lunch time express classes and prenatal and postnatal mat classes.
Tyla balances her working week between two private practices, Sound CBR and Canberra Children’s Physiotherapy. This allows Tyla to continue exploring all her special interests in paediatrics, women’s health, and general musculoskeletal presentations.
Outside of working as a Physio, Tyla enjoys weekend camping trips, curling up reading a good book and spending time with friends.
Special Interests: back pain, pregnancy and postnatal injuries, lower limb injuries
