After completing a Bachelor of Medical Science at ANU, Steph was keen to further her studies in anatomy and physiology and enrolled in a Masters of Physiotherapy. While studying physiotherapy Steph developed an interest in Women’s Health and began teaching pre and post-natal exercises classes which she has continued to do throughout her career.
After graduating with a Master of Physiotherapy, Steph worked in a number of areas in the public hospital system before deciding to move into private practice.
Steph now balances part-time work in private practice and a private hospital which allows for her interests in both lower limb rehabilitation as well as Women’s Health.
Steph is a qualified mat-work pilates instructor and sports trainer. At Sound CBR she teaches Sound Pilates as well as Sound Expecting, one of our prenatal pilates classes. Her classes aim to improve strength, flexibility and balance to support everyday physical activities as well as rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
Outside of work, Steph enjoys attending pilates classes herself, running and spending time with friends, family and her fur baby Oatis.
Special interests: women’s health, hip/knee/ankle injuries and return to sport, post-op rehabilitation
