Yoga

Yoga at Sound CBR is about finding the right balance between physical and mental health. The practice of Yoga covers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. In class, our teachers will provide a combination of breathing practices, physical movement and also mindfulness.

Our yoga classes are created to be approachable for every level of ability and experience; yes, this includes newbies! Our fantastic team of experienced teachers is passionate about sharing the practice of Yoga and its great benefits. This way, you’ll get a great depth of knowledge and different yoga experience from each class.

Our classes are mat-based, and props (such as blocks, bolsters or blankets) are provided in the studio.

Classes are capped at 16, so you’ll get more time and space for alignment and form cues from our experienced yoga teachers.

Sound Flow

This is our signature yoga flow class. The style is based on a vinyasa framework where we focus on creating synchronisation of breath and movement to find a moving meditation.

As we build strength and heat through the class, our experienced teachers will provide plenty of options for you to explore poses, from beginner to advanced.

There is no experience required and no judgements. We encourage you to come as you are.

Sound Flow Express

The same as our signature yoga flow class but instructed in a 45minute session to ensure you have plenty of time to get back to the office or arrive feeling refreshed to that lunch date!

Sound Slow

Find your opportunity to slow down and connect back to yourself through our slow yoga flow. The style is based on a Hatha flow, where you’ll find yourself releasing tension from the body and strengthening through intentional movement.

The class runs for 60mins where we explore our breath and body through slow movement and moments of stillness to quieten the mind—a great way to finish your day or just to slow down.

Sound Yin

Rest and restore your mind, body, and soul in our 60mins of Yin bliss. The classes are all ground-based, where we find stillness in stretching poses for 3-5mins at a time.

The intention behind Yin is to open up our connective tissues in the body, targeting our joints, ligaments and fascia.

A great practice if you’re recovering from injury, needing to help down train your pelvic floor, wanting to improve mobility or just wanting to rest the body and mind.

Props are encouraged for support during the class to allow the body to fully release any held-up tension.

Sound Flow - 75 mins

A more powerful yoga flow class that incorporates strength into the movements. This class is a longer and stronger flow, running for 75 minutes.

The style is based on a power vinyasa framework where we focus on creating synchronisation of breath and movement to find a moving meditation. As we build strength and heat through the class, our experienced teachers will provide options for you to explore poses ranging from beginner to advanced.
