Claire has a genuine passion supporting people through their health and recovery journey, whether this be with the intention for change, healing, management or optimisation. Regardless of the complexity and intricacy, she strives to empower all individuals she works with, and considers a holistic approach when developing detailed and tailored interventions. With her particular interest in Women’s Health, we are thrilled to have Claire join the Sound team as an Exercise Physiologist.
Since completing her Undergraduate Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation degree at the University of Canberra in 2020, Claire has had the pleasure of working in various areas of specialty over the years. Initially completing her honours in biomechanics, associated with hamstring injuries in Rugby Union, whilst working predominately with individuals with neuromusculoskeletal conditions and injuries, utilising her background in strength and conditioning in both private and sporting settings. She then transitioned into public health inpatient settings, specialising in mental health and chronic condition populations for several years, whilst also completing her a graduate certificate in Mental Health with La Trobe University.
Whether you would like to explore movement-based avenues for managing metabolic syndrome and PCOS, exercise therapy for Endometriosis and other forms of chronic pain, continue to safely exercise during pregnancy or return to exercise post-partum, rehabilitate any musculoskeletal concerns or build confidence, or simply learn about movement that is safe for you, Claire can guide you on your journey to achieve your exercise goals.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys winding down with a good book, going to pilates, skiing in the winter and is a bit of a foodie!
