Before life as a Physio, Jess grew up dancing over 14 years from the ages of 4 to 18. After college, Jess spent a year abroad before returning to Canberra and finally finding her feet studying Physiotherapy where she completed a Bachelor of Sports Science, a Bachelor of Sports Management, and her Masters of Physiotherapy through the University of Canberra.
After graduating Jess went straight into working for private practice and sitting on the sidelines of numerous sporting teams through her new graduate years. It was during this time that Jess developed a special interest in knees, ankles, and feet and with her extensive dance history, she found a passion for now treating dancers. Jess also likes post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation and has a keen interest in Women’s Health after becoming a mum herself in 2018.
Over her career, Jess has completed several additional qualifications including becoming a qualified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor, Dry Needling Qualifications, Strength and Conditioning Level One, Sports level 1 and Pelvic Floor Level 1.
When not working you’ll find Jess on a soccer field, running, at the gym, climbing a pole or studying Interior Design. If not doing one of these activities, Jess will be chasing after her two little blonde haired, blue-eyed cuties or escaping to the beach with her sun loving, surf chasing family whenever she can.
Special Interests: pregnancy and postnatal injuries, running, knees, ankles, post-operative rehab
